Awatere River Chardonnay 2020

A low yielding site with good management allowed the grapes to ripen and be harvested before the rain arrived. Grapes were gently pressed off the skins to avoid phenolic pick-up, and the press fraction was separated. The juice was settled overnight, then racked to a mix of new and used French Oak barriques with some solids. The wine was fermented and matured in the barriques, with lees stirring and 40% of the barrels completed malolactic fermentation. The wines matured on gross lees for nine months before being blended and prepared for bottling.

Your delivery must be accepted in person by someone over the age of 18. We have warehouses in both the North and South Islands, so orders may come in split deliveries depending on stock availability at these locations.
